This post is not about traveling to South America – I could never be labeled a world traveler- one trip to Canada and another one to Aruba in 70 years. Unfortunately, at the rate things are going in the world, Palm Desert is looking like the safest destination for the time being. It could be worse, considering that a few years ago we walked from the living room to the upstairs bedroom for a change of scenery.
This week my Brazilian experience was not about traveling – it was much less expensive and no passport was required. The reality is that after many years of blowdrying and flat ironing my hair every single day (multiple times on rainy days), I decided to get a Brazilian Blowout. Many of you are familiar with this process of straightening hair without the use of toxic chemicals. The technique was actually created in Brazil but I have no clue why the word “blowout” is part of the name, except for what it does to your budget if you do it every two to three months as suggested.
And now “The Girl From Ipanema” is playing in my head.
