As mentioned in an earlier post, “crinkly eyes” is the topic of this post. Believe me when I say that I would much rather be writing about crinkly fries (one of my favorite things) than this topic.
After reading several articles regarding eye wrinkles, I feel fairly confident that I have not engaged in most of the activities that contribute to this problem, (i.e., smoking and excessive sun exposure). I do, however, consistently engage in one cause of crinkly eyes – repetitive facial expressions – which in my case means too much smiling.
If you think about this logically, you smile because you are happy and this causes eye wrinkles which make you unhappy. Maybe Leonardo da Vinci had the right idea when painting Mona Lisa’s smile.
There are countless products on the market which promise to eliminate crinkly eyes, however, their success rate is extremely low. The only proven solution involves costly plastic surgery procedures.
My current thought regarding crinkly eyes is actually very simple. Just get rid of the magnifying mirror sitting on the bathroom counter and smile.
