TIME FOR A GETAWAY

I am a person who enjoys getaways, which translates to several days away in a relaxing location – no planes, trains, or scheduling. Luckily, there are a number of wonderful places to visit which are just a few hours away. Since we are both retired, every day is a good day to travel. Last week, in addition to being in a calm and beautiful environment, two happy and unexpected events made this a wonderful getaway.

Initially, a concert we wanted to attend sold out before we could get seats. Due to my husband’s positive attitude and patience, we were able to get tickets at the last minute (actually it was 15 minutes before it started).

The next day we visited a casino near our resort. After playing for a while, we went to a restaurant which was located inside the casino. After we finished eating, I noticed that there were three TV screens behind me. As I glanced at the middle TV, a timer was counting down with 3:40 minutes left at the top of the screen, and my husband’s name was at the bottom. I excitedly pointed to the screen and he ran out of the restaurant to claim his prize.

It’s all about the timing.
