After my unsuccessful first yoga lesson, I decided to Google for information about yoga for seniors. Luckily, a studio which I had visited many years ago was listed and it had great reviews. Best of all, they offered several types of classes for people like me – lack of flexibility, lack of stamina, and lack of focus. In other words, breathing and moving slowly were the only requirements.
I made the decision to sign up for the Zoom version, in order to guarantee that there was no way the sardine-like environment that I previously encountered would be repeated. I realized that viewing from my laptop would be easy, however, watching on my television would be even better – if I could figure out how to make that happen.
The yoga lesson lasted 75 minutes and miraculously so did I. The title of the class was Gentle and Therapeutics, which I am happy to say was accurate. It was so relaxing and easy to follow, that I immediately signed up for another session.
I scoured the internet for ways to connect a laptop to a television and after trying to use my Apple cables (about eight of them) in a myriad of configurations, I finally called my daughter who sent me links for two products to order on Amazon. I ripped open the boxes as soon as they landed on the front porch and spent the next hour trying to connect the two devices.
I am really rocking this yoga thing.
