For some people, a great day involves a special event. My definition of a great day means no stress (ok, very little stress) and several positive outcomes of any kind.
Here is a list of the events which led up to my great day:
I was able to sleep in late since I did not have to drive in early morning traffic at 7 a.m. in order to meet workmen who are still repairing the work they did weeks ago.
I was the only person in line at the bank and was able to downgrade the minimum required balance for a checking account whose only benefit was – wait for it- more free checks for an account I rarely use.
An ad for “butterfly bushes” which supposedly attract large numbers of butterflies appeared on my computer last week. I bought two of them at the nursery today. Now I just hope that the butterflies read the same ad.
I took my dog for a short walk, and this time she didn’t cut in front of me to pee on the artificial grass lawns, just the real lawns. It was a small victory, but I’ll take it.
To me, it was a great day.
