WHAT HAPPENS IN VEGAS, STAYS IN VEGAS

As many of you know, I am not a person who loves traveling. Unlike many people, I have no interest in trips to exotic locations and I have no bucket list for places to visit. We decided to fly to Vegas to see a Barry Manilow concert.

We decided to fly, as opposed to driving, since it sounded less stressful. Last week was the first time we have traveled by plane since the beginning of Covid. After parking our car, we were told that the rental cart dispenser had been out of order for months. Unfortunately, being overpackers (enough luggage for a trip to Europe), getting the luggage to the terminal became an unexpected challenge.

The timeshare was beautiful and having a mini kitchen was very helpful. There was an electric stovetop, and as a result, the pan which was used to make a grilled cheese sandwich became a casualty. The knobs should say extra low, low, and burning. The good news is that the smoke detector did not go off, even though the room smelled worse than the casino. How Barry Manilow can do such an energetic and incredible performance at 80 is unbelievable.

Our flight home was delayed two hours due to a problem on a preceding flight, but we finally landed. Once again, another rental cart dispenser broken, so we dragged the luggage to the car.

Maybe we should start lifting weights before we go back to Vegas.
