As most of you know, when ants invade your living space, it is not pleasant. Exterminators can do a good job of eliminating insects, but they can be expensive and the chemicals used are sometimes questionable.
In my quest to eliminate the rapidly growing trail of black dots, whose source appeared to be inside the kitchen wall, I did online research. I found many home remedies which would temporarily stop the increasing invasion and three interesting facts about ants.
Ants are the longest living insects on Earth. (I wonder if the older ones live in tiny ant retirement homes.)
Each ant can carry up to 50 times its body weight. (This explains their affinity for small, expensive cookies.)
One or more queen ants live and “rule” each colony, much to the chagrin of some male ants. (Based on our current political situation, this makes perfect sense to me.)
Being as I could not find any information regarding an ant relocation program, I will keep seeking an environmentally friendly solution to my problem.
Even the topic of ants can be political.
