MY MOVIE REVIEW

My ten-year-old grandson’s overnight visit, which included chocolate chip pancakes, an origami penguin, and a pinball machine, ended with an incredible movie experience. Although the trailers display adorable little animals and a friendly robot, this film is not recommended for young children due to the recurring themes of death, abandonment, and revenge. In spite of these topics, witty humor and outstanding animation techniques make this a must-see experience for anyone over eight.

The 3D glasses which were provided served several benefits for me. In addition to enhancing the beautiful graphics, the glasses also hid an emerging eye infection which ended up requiring surgery several days later. The emotional ending of the film lead to fifteen minutes of tears running down my face and pools of mascara under my eyes. Just picture hot mess senior.

The Wild Robot is an animated film which is receiving stellar reviews from film critics and audiences. I just read that the sequel is already in progress.

I will definitely be leaving my mascara at home.
