The title of this post may sound like I am referring to houses for seniors. What I am actually writing about is the similarities between seniors and old houses.
I recently purchased a fifty-year-old home. The house only had one owner, and although a few upgrades had been made, it has mostly original features. Think throwback to the early 70’s, without the fun.
Like many seniors, this house requires a fair amount of cosmetic assistance and significant replacement parts. Just substitute the words doctors and surgeons with contractors and repair people.
The good news is that the realtor bought us a home warranty policy, which I anticipate using often in light of this property’s advanced age.
It is kind of like Medicare for houses.
