Once again, my friends have unknowingly provided me with the content for a post. Our conversations often sound like they were created by comedy writers because these women all have great intellect combined with lightening fast wit. Their skills result in lengthy text chains which reflect humor, sarcasm, or both.

The following texts are verbatim – I would tell you to check with these women to verify their comments, but their identities are protected – for good reasons. The topic of our latest discussion was an upcoming 11:00 a.m. gathering involving snacks and board/card games.

Friend 1: Ooh, forgot to ask.  Is the dress code cocktail or Black Tie optional?

Friend 2: I heard we were going back to the 80’s when it was “clothing optional” 🤣

Friend 3: I picked up my gold lame jumpsuit from the cleaners for the occasion! 

Friend 4: How about some serious lipstick?

Friend 1: I’ve got my tux 🤵 

Me: I am forever in blue jeans.

Friend 4: Whoo whoo!

Friend 5: Dress code Red Carpet Stylish. Or jeans.

Friend 4: I’m wearing pjs or overalls – your call.

Me: A PJ top with overalls could be a good look. This conversation could be a blog!
